October to February

These months fall under Summer where days are long and warm with potential rain in the afternoons and evenings. Wildlife is harder to spot and this is the low-water season for Victoria Falls until late January and February. During this time of the year average temperatures range from 27 to 33 degrees across the country. 

 

March

Water levels in natural and man-made water reservoirs are perfect following the summer rains. This is a great time to visit places such as Victoria Falls, Lake Kariba and Lake Chivero. During this time of the year average temperatures range from 26 to 31 degrees across the country.

 

April to May

The famous Mana Pools National Park re-opens in April following the rainy summer season and avails itself to various types of safaris including walking safaris.

June to July

These months constitute the middle of winter where the weather is cooler and the days are shorter. This is also considered the best time for wildlife viewing. During this time of the year average temperatures range from 21 to 26 degrees across the country.

 

August-September

August is called Nyamavhuvhu in one of the local languages ChiShona and thsi name highlights the windy nature of this time of the year.

During this time of the year average temperatures range from 24 to 29 degrees across the country.
